Gallagher Family | Family Photographer Joshua Tree
As a Family Photographer in Joshua Tree National Park, I do not honestly think I’ll ever get tired of meeting all these families! The Gallagher family is no different.
I’d met Natalie last year at the gym. I remember watching her bust out some burpees like they were nothing. Now, even while pregnant, she could still out-burpee me any day! She contacted me about a month ago and asked if I was available for some family photos. We set up the a date that worked and then we had our session together!
The session started off like any other. I told them what to expect and how it all worked and we all took off from there. All 4 kids have VERY different personalities but they were all fun to watch and get to know a little bit. Their littlest guy was just the sweetest in his little bow tie and I absolutely enjoyed watching him explore the desert.
One of my absolutely favorite parts of any family session is capturing each child with mom. Moms almost never have photos (other than the occasional selfie) with their kids. So it’s a big deal to me to make sure we get some during our session together. It’s always a fun and unique experience with each child!
Of course…. you gotta get some with dad and the kids too! What’s always interesting to me is how different the approach can be from dad and mom with the kids. The dynamic is always different and I love watching it unfold.
And, as always, I couldn’t forget to get some of just mom and dad because let’s be real… they’re far and few between.
While most of my sessions are unique just because the families themselves… this one was a little bit extra unique. After our session was done and we were parting ways… they noticed that they’d locked their keys in their car (oops!). Thankfully!!!! I hadn’t left yet (because you get ZERO service out in the desert which means no phone calls, stranded on the side of the road with 4 kids as the sun is going down! So, I drove Natalie home so she could grab their other car and then run back out to get the rest of the family. It really just reminded me of something I would do and I’m quite honestly surprised I haven’t yet! But it was just some extra time we got to spend together, haha!
If you are looking for your own Family Photographer in Joshua Tree I would love for you to CONTACT ME today to schedule a session!
