When Laura first reached out about a possible Family Session in Joshua Tree National Park, she mentioned that a fun fact about her family is that both her boys were named after their favorite National Parks in the country. Joshua, for Joshua Tree National Park, and Jacob after Jacobson Park. Their middle names also have location means to them as well. I loved learning that unique fact about this super fun family.

I loved that they were all about exploring the location. Laura, while in booties with heels, was able to keep up with her boys really well. Climbing rocks, running and playing. It was fun to watch them all together.

Baby Jacob is BEYOND adorable with his spiky hair and sweet smile. He did so well for such a little guy… who happened to be teething at the time as well.

A fun little fact about the photos of just Joshua by himself….. I told him there was a puppy in my lens. You can see his facial expressions change as I then also told him that sometimes, when you smile really nice, he’ll come out and wave. Joshua said the puppy inside my lens is brown with white spots and floppy ears.

Grandma and Grandpa happened to meet up with Laura, Jim and the boys while they were road-tripping. So of course we had to include them in a few photos too!

Laura and Jim have such a special bond. They laughed easily together and it was so clear how much they truly enjoy being with one another.
