I may be a Twentynine Palms Boudoir Photographer, but I've had other jobs throughout my 36 years of life. One of which was working at Frederick's of Hollywood. I loved this job because I was always helping women feel more comfortable in their skin. Whether it was finding the right fitting bra, or getting something a little sexy for their lover, I got to play a role, however small, in helping them to feel and look sexy.

Being a Boudoir Photographer really is no different. I get to play, yet another, small role in helping women look and feel beautiful and sexy. It doesn't matter if a woman is doing a session like this for her lover, or for herself. The end result is always the same, they feel empowered. A feeling like that is priceless.

That's why I was so excited when Alyssa contacted me about getting her own boudoir session done. I think Alyssa's story is a pretty powerful one. One that I am so honored to be apart of. When she first contacted me, she told me she was pregnant. Not just with any baby, a baby for another couple. Alyssa was a surrogate. The power of the female body is something to envy. But the strength to carry a child for another family, unable to carry their own... THAT is beautiful. She wanted to wait just a little bit to recover from the delivery so she contacted me back when she was feeling better.

What I loved most is that Alyssa embraced her postpartum body. I wanted to make sure I honored that as well by not altering her figure. I think the best compliment she could have given ME about her images is how much she loved the fact that it still looked like HER. Alyssa did this session, not just for herself, but for her husband who is currently deployed. This will be a special little gift for him to receive while he's away doing his job. I can't wait to hear how much he loved these photos of his beautiful wife!
